Winter formal is quickly coming up, but a lot of people may not know what they should and should not do to prepare. No one wants to embarrass themselves, and it is hard to keep up with all the current trends. Do not to be afraid to show your individuality because it is important to be yourself, but if you are unsure if you are doing things right, here are a couple of guidelines:

Do

  • Make reservations ahead of time
  • Figure out who is in your group
  • Find a dress, shoes, a tie or something special to complete your outfit that you love
  • Choose something fun to do after
  • Find a place to take pictures like a friend’s house or a pretty restaurant
  • If you are asking someone, find a creative way to do it
  • Dance

Don’t

  • Think it is weird to go with a group of your girlfriends or guyfriends
  • Worry about if what you are wearing is new and expensive
  • Wear shoes that you can’t dance in
  • Exclude or leave anyone out from the group
  • Think you are too cool for the dance
